Nanocrystalline Ti[O.sub.2] solar cells sensitized with InAs quantum dots
Article Abstract:
Nanocrystalline Ti[O.sub.2] solar cells sensitized with InAs quantum dots are reported. The solar cells have shown lower power efficiency under higher light intensity, due to both mass transport limitations of the redox relay and the increased charge recombination from the back reaction of electrons in Ti[O.sub.2] with holes in quantum dots (QDs).

Synchrotron-induced photoemission of emersed GaAs electrodes after electrochemical etching in Br2/H2O solutions
Article Abstract:
GaAs(110) surfaces are studied after etching in Br2/H2O solutions and emersion from the electrolyte using high-resolution synchrotron-induced photoelectron spectroscopy. High-quality spectra of the core lines and the valence band region are obtained by using a specifically developed transfer procedure.
